On March 9, 2021, the outcome of a joint research project led by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with the participation of CASTED and five other national research institutions, was officially published by Cambridge University Press (English version). It is entitled "Harnessing Public Research for Innovation in the 21st Century – An International Assessment of Knowledge Transfer Policies".

The book builds metrics and assessment frameworks for improving knowledge transfer and provides effective tools for countries to measure the transfer of scientific and technological outcomes. At the same time, it conducts case studies on knowledge transfer policies of China, the UK, Germany, South Korea, Brazil and South Africa, providing experience for relevant countries to formulate policies.
