From 9 to 10 October 2018, the Institute of Science, Technology and Society held the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in China and Abroad: An International Dialogue. Vice President Liu Dongmei attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Experts and scholars from Germany, the UK, France, Russia and India were invited to the conference to share their international experience in responsible research and innovation. In the meantime, experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, the Institute for the History of Natural Science under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Innovation Strategy, Dalian University of Technology, Nanjing Agricultural University and Changsha University of Science & Technology and other Chinese universities and research institutes joined in a dialogue and discussion with their foreign counterparts on the theories, policies, cases and practical experience of responsible research and innovation, as well as the development trend of open science.
