On March 5, 2019, Cho Hwanghee, President of the Korean Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), led a delegation to CASTED. President Hu Zhijian met with the delegation. Chen Baoming, Director of the Institute of Comprehensive Development, Li Zhe, Director of the Institute of S&T Systems and Management, Zhu Yingchun, Deputy Director of the Institute of S&T Statistics and Analysis, and more than ten representatives from the Institute of Technology Foresight and Evaluation, the Institute of S&T Investment, the Institute of S&T for Industrial Development, the Institute of Rural and Regional Development, the Institute of Science, Technology and Society and the Department of Research Management participated in the meeting.

President Hu warmly welcomed the STEPI delegation. The two sides introduced their respective research progress and highlights in recent years. STEPI mainly introduced its major research projects and important policy contributions during 2017 to 2019. The two sides reached a consensus on the comparative study of national innovation systems, innovation index evaluation, and cooperation with the Belt and Road participating countries, and had an in-depth discussion on the contents, methods and forms of research.
