The 1st CISTRAT International Seminar Held in Beijing

CISTRAT held its 1st international seminar on September 25 in China Hall of Science and Technology, Beijing. The seminar focused on Science, Technology and Innovation Policies.




Ten speakers from CISTRAT governing board, UNESCO Headquarters, CASTED, and International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South South Cooperation under the Auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC) shared their views on STI Policy for Sustainable Development from UNESCO’s perspective, STI Policy and its Embediness in Society in China, Changing STI Landscape in the Arab Region, Key Issues and Framework of the STI Policy in China, STI Policy Research Issues in Developed Countries, How to transform the technological and scientific development through the Social Appropriation of S&T, Comparison of High-tech Product Trade between China and US, UNESCO’s New Initiatives in Improving STI policy information support system, South-South Cooperation in STI, and International Network on STI Policy of CISTRAT.

The seminar was open to all trainers and trainees in this year’s STI policy training workshop, and staff members of CASTED.
