On August 29, 2016, a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) delegation led by Sacha W. Vincent, Senior Economic Officer in the Office of the Chief Economist of WIPO, paid a visit to CASTED. CASTED President Hu Zhijian, Vice President Wu Yishan and Vice President Wang Fenyu, received the delegation and held a seminar.

The seminar focused on the Global Innovation Index Report. Sacha W. Vincent introduced the main content of the report in a speech on “Global Innovation: The Way to Success” and discussed with other attendees on the report’s research methodology. The two sides also discussed the cooperation potential between the two organizations in statistical research.

The visiting WIPO delegation also included Chen Hongbin, Director of WIPO China Office, and Qi Haoran, Assistant Director of WIPO China Office. Chen Baoming, Director of CASTED Institute of Comprehensive Development, Xuan Zhaohui, (executive) Deputy Director of CASTED Institute of Science and Technology Statistics and Analysis, and representatives of other CASTED institutes.
