CISTRAT Training Class on “B&R Countries STI Policy Research and Methods” Opened in Beijing

On November 1, 2016, the CISTRAT Training Class on “B&R Countries STI Policy Research and Methods” opened at Yulong International Hotel in Beijing.

A total of 14 foreign trainees from seven countries and seven Chinese trainees attended the training class. The opening ceremony was chaired by CASTED Vice President Wang Fenyu, where CASTED President Hu Zhijian, representing CASTED and the International Research and Training Center for Science and Technology Strategy (CISTRAT), extended a warm welcome to the trainees and gave a brief introduction to CISTRAT. Yoslan Nur, Programme Specialist of UNESCO, and Zhou Jiagui, Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, gave welcoming addresses as well.

The trainees introduced relevant information about their respective countries before the training class started with a lecture entitled “A Brief Introduction to China”, given by Liu Peiwen of CASTED.
