On November 28, 2016, the World Bank research group on “China’s New Drivers of Growth: Governance and Institutional Innovation” visited CASTED. CASTED Vice President Wang Fenyu received the delegation and chaired a seminar with the delegation.

At the meeting, the research group consulted the opinions of CASTED experts on topics including research personnel incentivization, upgrade of knowledge-intensive industries, and institutional development of developing economies. The two sides had in-depth discussions on new drivers of China’s economic growth, especially governance and institutional innovation.

Members of the World Bank research group included World Bank senior experts Zhao Min and Jurgen Rene Blum and Development Research Center of the State Council researchers Zhang Bingzi, Dong Dandan and Huang Shunkui. CASTED attendees of the meeting included researchers of relevant CASTED institutes and representatives of the CASTED Department of Research Management.
