University of Minnesota M.S. Management of Technology Program Delegation Visited CASTED

On the afternoon of January 29, a delegation of the M.S. Management of Technology Program of University of Minnesota led by Massoud Amin, Director of the Technological Leadership Institute (TLI), paid a visit to CASTED and attended a seminar, where CASTED Vice President Wang Fenyu gave a welcoming address and introduced CASTED, and Dr. Ding Minglei of the Institute of Comprehensive Development and Dr. Kang Qi of the Institute of Science and Technology Systems and Management gave reports on “China’s STI Policy Developments” and “Characteristics of China’s National Innovation System”, respectively. The reports received enthusiastic responses from the more than 20 students attending the seminar. The seminar was chaired by Sun Fuquan, member of the Academy Affairs Committee of CASTED.

The M.S. in Management of Technology (MOT) degree program of University of Minnesota, established in 1990, is one of the longest-standing master’s programs in management of technology in the United States. The program aims to develop talent in management of technology with the focus on technology management and innovation. It requires applicants to have at least five years of full-time work experience in a science, engineering or technology-related career field, among other requirements.
