98th Report in 2013: The Review of Global Innovation Index 2013 and Its Revelation to China

Abstract: Imbalanced development of world economy and the drawback of traditional development mode demand innovation urgently. Global Innovation Index 2013 was accomplished by World Intellectual Property Organization, Cornell University and INSEAD Business School together. It shows that China ranks 35th in the world. The report provides us a new angle to understand and evaluate innovative China, even though it has some imperfections. This paper not only introduces the evaluation indicator system of the report, but also discusses China's advantageous and disadvantageous indicators. In the end, it reveals some revelations for China from the change of the indicators.
