Abstract: The public social image of S&T personnels can be observed from the aspects of public perception, public evaluation and public tendency. The research in 2011 found that the public were quite familiar with "doctor" and "middle school teacher", but less familiar with "engineer" and "scientist " and little familiar with "agricultural technology personnel". In the eyes of the public, the capacity, morality and occupational image of "scientist" and "engineer" were very positive. The capacity and occupational image of "doctor" were OK, but the moral image of "doctor" was very passive. The capacity and moral image of "agricultural S&T personnel" were very passive, but the moral image of "agricultural S&T personnel" was in the middle. The public image of "middle school teacher" was at the general level. The public showed higher passion in participating in S&T work.
