MOST Signs MOU on Building Small Hydro Research Center with Pakistani MoST

On February 19, at the Great Hall of the People, Vice Minister Wang Weizhong and Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development and Reform of Pakistan, signed an MOU on building Joint Research Center for Small Hydropower between Chinese MOST and Pakistani MoST, under the witness of President Xi Jinping and Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain.
    China and Pakistan will build a national Joint Research Center for Small Hydropower on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. The center will help conduct high-level collaborative research, promote exchanges and training of scientists and engineers, facilitate technology transfer, and build stronger capacity of Pakistan in hydropower technology, thus establishing a long-term and stable S&T collaborative relationship in this field.
    Mr. Ruan Xiangping, Minister-Counselor of the Department of International Cooperation, also attended the MOU signing ceremony.
