Abstract: China allowed private customers to purchase electric automobiles since May of 2010. Those private customers could get subsidy in some pilot cities, such as in Shanghai, Changchun, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Hefei, and later in Beijing. For more than a year, Chinese government has released a series of policies in promoting private customers buying electric automobiles, however, these policies hasn't achieved the results as expected. According to the factors that could influence private customers purchasing electric automobiles, this paper proposes some policy suggestions. This paper suggests to develop many high quality cars, and wildly build charging networks,etc. to stimulate the consumption.
