102nd Report in 2010: Lessons from Development of Mobile Communications Industry in China for Developing Its Strategic Emerging Industries
Abstract: The success of mobile communications industry under a very open competition environment in China represents a typical case of overcoming latecomer’s disadvantages. Experiences from the industry in its strategic choice of high starting point, promotion of development by full leveraging of key events, tolerance of multiple technological roads and modes, and in time reform of management system are valuable to the development of strategic emerging industries in China.
