78th Report in 2010: Development of Health Industry in China Needs More Attention

Abstract: Health industry in many countries is regarded as future strategic industry with growing public awareness of health. Developed countries like the US, EU, and Japan implement many action plans for inputting large amount of human resources and fund resources into researches in the health area to promote their health industry, which is the most active area for science and technology innovation. In China, growth of GDP per capita brings about increasing health demand. Therefore, health industry shall be regarded as a strategic emerging industry in China’s industrial plan for promoting its development in China through tapping of social resources, focusing on key areas, and developing health science and technology in a well-planned manner.
