65th Report in 2010: Achieving Objectives by Taking Initiative in Cooperation

Abstract: Complex and unstable international situations post-crisis and further improvement in China’s overall strength provide new form to China’s international cooperation in science and technology. In its international cooperation, Sichuan Industrial Institute of Antibiotics achieves the objective of strengthening capacity in homegrown innovation by taking initiative in the cooperation, keeping alignment with key strategic needs in China’s current economic and social development, leveraging the advantage of rich resources, and maximizing the equality in international cooperation. In an in depth analysis of the Institute’s practices in international cooperation, the article sums up experiences to be followed in other high-level international cooperation.
