Abstract: In its sixty years of history, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Science has made great contribution to the development of new products in petro-chemistry and energy areas. As the institute, with active alignment with national strategic demand, significant reform, continuous adjustment of disciplines covered, and integrated innovation, many institutes in China are increasing their competence in innovation. In the development stage appropriate for strengthening the national innovation bases and development national innovation system, China now has the ability to pilot number of comprehensive and demonstrative national innovation bases in several areas to increase capacity of innovation, which provides great supports to national economic development.
