Abstract: Although post-quake governmental policies are generally well acknowledged by residents in the disaster area, their awareness of the policies still needs to be improved. One year after the earthquake, residents are more willing to become independent rather than government supports. The government policy priorities are required to shift from survival to development. “Repairing local roads” is on the top of the agenda. It is worth noticing that some of the residents are concerned about fairness in implementing government policies and their trust and satisfaction with grass-root governmental departments has decreased substantially since last year.
