20th Report in 2010: Social Capital Increases in the Disaster Area Post-Quake

Abstract: One year after the earthquake, 80.7% of the disaster area residents have the experience of obtaining social supports from the outside and 43.1% of them participated in public interest reconstruction activities like patrol, distributing materials, repairing bridges and roads. 88.1% believe residents in their villages or communities are more coherent than before. The social trustworthiness, decreases to certain extent but is still higher than pre-quake.
