16th Report in 2010: Post-Quake Rural Area Faces Double Challenges of Agriculture Production Recovery and the Problems Brought from Landless Farmers
Abstract: Although 93.3% rural households post-quake still engage in agriculture production, the situation is far from satisfactory. 41.5% of the households believe the production is less than before, 23.4% lost part farmlands, and 4.7% lost all. 44.4% of those lost farmlands because of the reconstruction project. 85.1% have favorable policy support and the demand for the support is still strong. 43.1% and 18.3% want to obtain rural subsidies and agriculture technology support respectively.
