The 4th CISTRAT International Seminar Held in Beijing

The 4th annual international forum of CISTRAT was held on November 2, 2016 in Beijing. The forum this year focused on ‘Science, Technology and Innovation in Developing Countries: Opportunities and Challenges‘.

Five speakers from CISTRAT, UNESCO, CASTED, Renmin University and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology shared their views on China’s STI trends and progress, the role of a culture of innovation for sustainable development, infrastructure investment against the background of ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, STI cooperation in the ‘Belt and Road’ area, and global S&T approach.

The forum was open to all trainers and trainees in this year’s STI training workshop, CISTRAT staff and members of CASTED.
